Leona Wlaker

A reserved, experienced fire lookout who finds comfort in routine and craftsmanship. She is practical and is used to solitude, but when Mia crashes into her life, she tries to show her care in subtle ways, small gestures and gifts.

She is a more experienced park ranger, so she has a pension has a penchant for doing solo patrols. She struggles to accept gifts and compliments due to her rough upbringing.

Mia Holloway

a newbie park ranger but she makes up for lack of experience with pure enthusiasm and a knack for the job.

A warm, expressive park ranger with a camera always in hand. She documents moments instinctively, cherishing meaning in small details. Mia is easily moved by acts of care and wears her emotions openly.

My futuristic sci-fi story, which explores the concept of people having chips implanted in their brains that control their perception, and what happens when the main character River's chip is disabled.I have used this concept for multiple projects, such as an animated book trailer, character redesign, 30 page comic and background design.

Ben Lucky

Ben is a 25 year old, An experinced nomadic survior who lives in an abandoned bunker deep in the forest. He learned the hard way that relying on people gets you killed his eyepatch a constant reminder of this.This has caused him to only trust his friend from prior to day Z his friend Cade. meaning his aloof and cold personality often scares people off.

Cade Lomax

Cade is a 25 year old, experinced survor who lives with Ben and tries to assit him with finding a cure.Cade was bitten on a supply run with Ben after being left as bait by a group of fellow survivors. But for unknown reasons, Cade never fully shifted, instead getting superficial symptoms of zombification.Cade is a friendly person by people are usually intimidated by his appearance, and since zombification, he can't risk either being mistaken as a brainless infected or being carted off as a lab rat.

TITLE SEQUENCE

This is an experimental title sequence I made for Dead End in my Motion graphics class.I used Clip Studio Paint to make the assets and edited in Adobe After Effects.

Background Layout

This is a background I made for a character blocking exercise.

Background inspiration: I was inspired by the ominous greys and insolaed locations of Silent hill and Alan Wake

Initial drafts: I chose the 2nd background because it offers the strongest balance between storytelling of seeing the graffiti and the visual composition of the leading lines of the foot path guiding the viewers eyes to the abandoned store.

An original comic created to sell at SCAMP Comic (2025). I created the comic in a week due to being busy with Uni, so I had to lower the scope of the project by lowering the page count and scraping my inital cover design for a more simple conept. But, overally i happy with how it turned out.

Portal X

My AIT scholarship-winning comic (2024)

Portal X is a complete short comic I created as my submission to the AIT scholarship competition. The theme for that year was to create a way for the fictional company of time splice to launch their new Portal X portal creation watch.Creating this story was quite cathartic to me since I felt overwhelmed after finishing the HSC and realising that I would no longer see my friends as often as I used to.In the comic, Mia is feeling lonely after being unable to see her friends the year after their graduation. But she then gets a mysterious gift which will change her life forever.
